Summer! (Part One)

I haven't posted anything since school got out, but I am going to try to now. This summer has been kind of crazy. I have seen and hung out with people I didn't during the school year and everything seems different. I actually got along with Rae for a whole weekend this summer (which is a first). I went to a family reunion with family members I have met maybe once tops. And I of course have hung out with various friends.

One of the groups I have hung out with a few times is my swim group. There are people like Shelby or Bre or Jinni that are from swim and are sometimes in this group, but they can't come a lot so I am not including them in this. The swim group consists of mainly six people: Allie, Jake, Steven, Tom, Beth, and me. These are the people who were on the club team before high school swim. Half of us are Lancers and the other half are Darts, so we would never really see each other or be friends if it wasn't for swim. Before I tell you about the adventures we have had I think you should know a little about each of us.

Allie: Allie is at first sight stereotypical. She is pretty; very athletic; and loves to talk about clothes, make up, and boys. She is more than that once you get to know her though. She is full of surprises. She is funny and says things that you don't expect to hear, like asking through out a whole movie who the bad guy is or which guy is batman in the batman movies. Allie and I are usually the one to plan hanging out with swim people, and we are pretty good friends now. Allie and Jake are the ones who convinced me to join the club swim team, and Allie made me join the high school team.

Steven: Steven is funny. He is like Allie, but isn't friendly to me. I always call him short and he always tells me that he is taller than me, I just always wear boots so you can't tell. Steven likes to tease me about Jake, and I tease him about Allie.

Jake: Jake is the hardest to fit into only a few sentences. Jake and I have been friends the longest out of anyone in the group I think. Jake is funny and helps hold the group together. Steven always talks about how cool Jake is, and I think everyone agrees he is pretty cool. Jake is the only one in this group that went to the same school as me this year. He was also in Honors english.

Tom: Tom and Jake are both tall. They are easy to spot in our group because steven and I are short and Allie and Beth are only a few inches taller. Tom is nice and is really funny. We don't like each other, but we joke about having "moments" a lot. He is really relaxed and is the most mellow and calm one of the group.

Beth: I almost didn't know if I should include Beth, because she doesn't always come. She is busy a lot, and Allie and I have both had issues with her. She is very flirty, which sometimes get her friends, and sometimes causes problems. She is nice and is pretty. I am not really close with her, so I don't know what else to say.

Me: Okay, I know you already know about me, but I thought I should include myself anyways....but that is all I have to say about myself in the group

This week I hung out with the swim group or parts of the swim group a few times. On Friday for the first time in hanging out with them Steven was nice to me. Steven was at Lagoon with us and he started being friendly and not insulting anyone, not that it lasted long. An hour or two into his being nice Allie found a stuffed animal on the ground. It was a stuffed banana (so technically not an animal) dressed like Batman. Allie thought someone had abandoned it, even though it looked to me like someone had set it down. Steven convinced her it really was just left there, so she took it. When she was walking away he told her it probably belonged to someone, but by then she was too far away to want to go back. We decided to name the stuffed banana, and we ended up with two names: Beau and Jake. Beau because it sounds like Bo, short for Botassium, which sounds like potassium, which bananas have a lot of, but Po seemed too Teletubbies like. Beau is the name that Allie and I liked. jake came up because Steven really wanted to name it jake. He kept teasing me by throwing the banana at me and saying, "Here, Space Rabbit, hold jake." Even though Allie and I vetoed the name jake and thought that the real Jake would be weirded out by the name Steven kept insisting it be named jake. (I didn't capitalize the "j" so you would know which Jake it was.)

I kind of want to tell you about the two "Moments" Tom and I had; and about going to (the person) Jake's house to see if he was faking not being able to come, which he was; and about the strange Batman movie; but this looks like a journal entry, and is frankly boring, to read, even for me, so I will stop.

Once I get back into the blogging I might be able to write something interesting like about philosophy, but for now this is the best I can think of, so tune in later for something better to read. Congratulations if you got through this whole thing, even skimming. :)

Nurture vs Nature

"People say we have so much in common: You're amazing, and I am amazed by everything you do."
-Patty Fiasco (All of those lines that resonate have me thinking about quotes, so I thought I'd share the one that has been stuck in my head all day.)

Ok, at swim yesterday I hurt my thumb. Well, it wasn't just my fault, because I had to lead lane lines (which is like the worst job ever) and the guys helping reel the lane lines in wouldn't listen. I was in a hurry and was getting frustrated, and I was about to just give up and make the only guy (let's call him Luke) listening lead them for me, but I decided I might as well just finish or wait until I got a little more annoyed. When I was making this decision the lane line got stuck and I told them to stop so I could fix it. I was fixing it and suddenly they decided to start reeling again... as fast as they could. The lane line jolted when they started reeling again and suddenly something went under my nail, it was either the slide you have to use to take them out or the wire holding the lines together. Either way, it hurt  a lot, and when I looked at it it was bleeding and hurt more than you would think it might. I made Luke finish up after that.

When I got home I was thinking about it, and I decided if it looked really gross today that I would go up to Luke and try and gross him out. I realized that only I do that, most people don't go up to random people and try to freak them out. Who else does that often? Migi. It took me a second, but she does that exact same thing. Migi is in seventh grade and tries to freak people out a lot, maybe more than me. She will go up to me in the hall and start talking to me, or yelling, or start introducing me to her friends. Once she saw one of my friends in the hall and yelled, "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?!" She also tells me that my friends are freaks, and that I am a freak for liking my friends, because they are freaks. She is very competitive and feisty, and she does things that no one else does.

She was on the cruise with me during spring break, and on the plane trip to california we had the same flight. At the airport she came up to me and said "Look at my thumb! I cut it yesterday, see how gross it looks?!" She said it about the same way as I say that when I hurt myself and it looks gross. What she does sometimes is freakishly similar to what I do, and I don't even see her everyday. What is strange is the fact that I don't see her everyday, so it's not nurture. We don't live in the same house with the same parents or siblings, but we are similar. When Adrienne acts the same kind of way I do I can say that she is used to seeing me do that, Migi however probably doesn't even remember living with me ever.

So how much of your personality is nurture and how much is nature? With Migi I notice a lot of similarities to me, but I also notice similarities to Roo. Roo is the same age as me and lives with Migi. How ever inaccurate this may be, I take it as a little sample of nurture vs nature. See, I am the one (between Roo and me) who is more likely to yell randomly and try to scare people; but Roo is the one who tells everyone (Okay, usually tells me) that they are (or I am) a freak.

It's the last term already! I have nothing to write about this week, nothing really exciting happened. It's the beginning of term and I already have a ton of homework (and missing assignments, yay aren't I just on top of things?). It is finally spring, which it is awesome! I can't wait until it's warm enough outside to wear flip-flops every where. Everyone has been waiting for spring  I think, but spring I guess wants us to not take it for granted or something, because it is taking it's sweet time getting here.

This week, I was reading this story my friends are writing. The story is about swim team and all about all the people and drama there. It was funny to read their perspective, because it showed their personalities. My friends who are writing this story are Allie and Jacky. Allie is a really crazy hyper person, and Jacky is more calm, they are like yin and yang in a way, because they are very different. They started out the story with a short description of each of the characters. Each of the descriptions were a line or two long, except for the hot senior Allie likes, who got like a paragraph on how he is so cute, but stupid and vain, or something like that. Allie's description said something like, "Allie is a fun girl, who is very hyper and you may think she is on drugs." Jacky's description said something about how all of the guys love her, especially her hot asian boyfriend (who may or may not know her in real life). They had a couple more descriptions, and they included me in it. I think it was kind of a sad description, based on the fact that I am friendly and a little obvious at times. My description said something like "A flirt who flirts with all the guys," which I guess means that by not ignoring everyone I am a flirt. Reading through the other descriptions I found one of my kinda friends (who is a little bit creepy) who's description read "A super creepy perv who Allie and Jacky are creeped out by because he is a PERV,"or something along those lines.

After the descriptions of all the people, the actual story started. It talked about how hot Allie and Jacky are and how hot their make believe boyfriends are. It was very entertaining to read. I want to tell you more about it, but maybe I will post part of the actual story they are writing when Allie emails it to me.

Wow, I was writing this at like 6:30, but I am now just finishing. I actually stopped writing this at like 6:30, because I had to go somewhere. Someone I know was talking at something tonight, and I decided to go and see the whole fireside(If you're not mormon, a fireside is like church kind of, but they are usually pretty fun.. not that I would really know since I have gone to almost none). The fireside was interesting, and everyone there was really friendly even though they had no clue who I was.
I sat down behind this family who looked pretty young, they had a son who looked about two or three. The little boy waved at me, so I waved back. He smiled and laughed, so I made a face at him. He pointed to the wall behind me, so I turned around and acted like there was something amazing there. This went on for a while, and it made me a lot less nervous about being surrounded by strangers. The person who I went to see was speaking, and was about halfway through their talk when I think they saw me. They were defiantly surprised to see me, but it was kind of cool to hear them speak. I went up to them after and I got to meet their family, who were all really nice. Going to a church building where I didn't know anyone was defiantly out of my comfort zone, but I am kind of glad I did, because it was interesting (and who doesn't think a giggly three year old playing peek-a-boo is adorable?). Sorry, that is random, but it was kind of cool and I can't really explain to you how or why it was so cool to me. I guess that is stepping out of your comfort zone.
Well, happy Sunday night, one week 'til spring break!

So Yeah...

This week has been pretty awesome. I told you about Monday already, so I won't go over that again. Tuesday was great. For Young Women's on Tuesday (Young Women's is like the girls at church who are 12-18, there is like an activity every week) we did this talent show thing. It took a bit of planning, but it was really cool in the end. I didn't do anything, but I helped set it up and I ate ice cream after, so it was fun.  I started missing swim a lot this week, I went to surfers (the younger team), but it wasn't the same. I miss all my friends from normal swim.

Wednesday was not as good, I kinda made a mistake in biology and everyone laughed, but I was really embarrassed and wanted to hide the rest of class. I went to swim after school, but swim made it worse. I forgot how much I don't get along with some people. I ended up really mad, and I even got Coach K mad at me. Coach K is my favorite coach, he is really funny and mellow. He rarely gets really mad, and he is good with people who are sassy to him. He has only gotten really frustrated with me twice, which is pretty amazing because I am a total brat to him sometimes. I don't do what he tells me to a lot, or I bug him every time he gives a new set, by telling him it should be breast stroke. I get my way sometimes and he gives us a breast stroke set or modifies it or tells me some way to cheat at it.

One time he told me, "You have been swimming this long and NEVER figured that out?!" Another time he asked Shelby to text me in the mornings to make sure that I had matching socks on, because I was probably couldn't figure that out on my own, which has only happened a few times...  Coach K had a good humor about my messing up. He is also really honest, on Wednesday I kept asking for help on my flip turns, but he said no. I said I probably had the worst flip turns out of everyone in the pool probably, and when one of my friends told me it wasn't that bad probably, he told us all that my flip turns really did suck. He asked after "Oh, did you want me to sugar coat that?" No, I didn't, that is why I love Coach K.

Okay, back to my story. I went to swim, Coach K got angry with me for the second time ever because I got out of the pool half way through a set. I am not one of those people (you only know who I am talking about probably if you swim, but you know the type of person for anything) who gets out of the pool and just like sits random sets out. I started to get out of the pool, and Coach K got like really mad for some reason, but I explained to him that I really had to get out. I had to get out because I was wearing contacts, but I forgot to take them out before swim.

This kid kept splashing me and my friends, not in a friendly way, in a rude way, and hadn't listened when I kept telling him to stop because my contacts were getting messed up and really hurt. I went to the bathroom to try to get my contacts out, or at least see if they were in still. When I got back my eyes were really red, so it looked like I might have been crying. Coach K asked if I was okay and he was really concerned, but I said yeah and got back in. When I got in I started swimming in a very focused manner, even though the kid kept splashing and being annoying. I decided to just spend the last half our to forty-five minutes of practice on a continuous swim (which means not stopping). I HATE backstroke, but I spent half of the set on backstroke, and I was so focused and mad I decided to just not stop for anything, so a few people may have been kicked.

I need to stop now, but yeah, the rest of my week was good, which ended with a dance on Saturday night that was really fun. Maybe I will tell you about that all next week... or maybe I won't... We'll see! Bye, and Happy Valentines Day!

Swim is Over!

Last week was the last week of High School swimming, unless you are going to state. I am not going to state, so this was the last week of swimming on the High School team for me this year. It has been a good year, I decided that I love swim meets this year. I use to hate swim meets and do anything I could to get out of them, but now I have grown to love them and am a little sad to see them go. The surfers have meets of course (that is the non high school team that is for anyone from like 5-17), but it won't be the same without all of my Lancer and Knight friends. There will be no more bus rides and meets that you have to be checked out of school for. I am really sad about all of this, but at least I know that some of the people that I know from the HS team will be on surfers.

We had our last meet on Friday. It was a big meet, so our whole team went to this boy's house on Thursday night. Thursday was a lot of fun, all of the girls got their hand spray painted blue. The spray paint isn't coming off, but to be honest I am trying to keep it on; I like how it looks to have one blue hand, plus it makes it more like I am on a team, so my blue hand is currently making me happy because it just makes me feel kind of special. I also got my back spray painted, but that isn't as cool to me as my hand. Most of the team had blue spray paint on, and I think that it made our whole team look united and cooler because we all had blue paint that stood out compared to the other teams.

At the meet I had fun, I had several freak outs though. I got to the meet a little on edge, but my first little panic attack (I don't know what to call it) came after my first event. I was in the first event of the meet, which always puts me on edge, because I am afraid I will miss it. The event was a relay, so I was swimming with three other girls. (In a relay there are four people in a group, they each take a turn swimming a 50 or 100 of what ever stroke it is.) In my relay I was going to swim 50 butterfly. I had been nervous for this meet because I was in four events, three of them involving butterfly, so for the whole week before I had been focusing on butterfly, which mostly only succeeded in psyching myself out.

Despite my nervousness for the event, I did well. I swam it the very best I could and was in the zone the whole time. My goggles fell off, but I did well without them. When I finished my 50 my friend Jinni helped me out of the pool and said I did amazing, I could tell that she meant it and really was impressed, but for some reason I started freaking out. I started to hyperventilate a little bit (I seem to do that a lot I guess,) and saying sorry. I did good, so I don't know why I was acting like that, but I just kept saying sorry and saying that I should have done better and telling the girls in my relay that I was really really sorry.

I snapped out of my freak out pretty quickly and sat down with my friends. I tightened my goggles and ate something, but I was doing pretty well. I was good until my next event, which was a 200 IM (IM is all four of the strokes in a certain order). I was a little bit freaked out because I usually pray before an event (yes, I do, don't mock me if you have a problem with that), but at this meet I had a mental block and wouldn't allow myself to pray or to relax in any way. I couldn't just say a prayer in my mind for some reason, don't ask my why. Because of this I had a hard time calming down before or after an event.

I asked someone to cheer for me during my IM, and I did pretty good. I couldn't relax at all during the race, and my goggles fell off again, but over all I felt okay. When I finished the girl who had been cheering for me helped me of the pool, I started hyperventilating again though. I didn't know why I was so anxious, but I tried to relax. I felt a little off still, but I was again able to at least calm down a little bit.

Right before my third event we had a break. In the half hour break with no events taking place, one of my friends got hurt. I was not sure how hurt because I didn't get to talk to him, but I knew he was going to the doctor. I don't like it when people are hurt, and I couldn't relax at all for a while after that.

After the break I had a 100 butterfly. I guess the tension I had helped me or something, because I dropped quite a bit of time on it, but I refused to try and find peace or anything. I spent the whole meet feeling very edgy and jumpy, but I had a good time. I talked to some people I usually don't talk to, and was pretty much like normal by the time my last event came.

I was in the second to last event of the meet, which was another relay. I had a good team for my relay, and I asked Allie if I could borrow her goggles for the race. She said I could and she went to go get them.

I was waiting to get on the starting block when she came back. She said that my friend who had gotten hurt came back, but it was seconds before I had to go, so I had to just take her goggles and go. When I got out of the water I went and got my hoodie and took off my cap and goggles. I went over to my friend who had been hurt and waited until it was a good time to say something (some other people were talking to him too). I asked if he was okay and he said yes, so I relaxed a little bit.

After the meet the team went out to dinner. Dinner was a lot of fun, and I am glad I got to see everyone. I realized there how many people there I love and don't want to see them graduate or even just not see them until next year. I can't wait until we have a swim banquet next month. After dinner I went and hung out with some friends at Jinni's house. Even though I just spent a whole post saying how stressful the meet was, I really actually loved it and wouldn't change it for anything.

Layton Meet

This week we had a meet at the Layton pool. It was a big meet, in fact, there were all of the Davis district high schools there I think. I only had two events, and neither of them went as well as I hoped for. The first one I lost a second, so that's good. Everyone cheered for me in that one it seemed like, so I was happy.

In the second one I got up to the starting block and my goggles broke. I held them out trying not to panic, and Shelby grabbed them and ran to get hers for me to use. I was supposed to be up and waiting, so I just turned to the nearest person with goggles on and asked him if I could use his. He said yes and gave them to me, but even before I got them I knew they were way too big and I didn't have time to adjust them. I wore them anyways and actually did the start okay with them. The goggles started filling up with water pretty quickly though, and I figured they wouldn't last much longer. I did a flip turn at the wall and went so crooked that I not only hit the lane line, I went over it. I was mostly in my lane, but I figured I had gotten DQed then and there. I did another 50 and when I got back to that wall again I did a flip turn and my (well my guy friend's) goggles fell off. I swam better when they came off, because the pool was suddenly not black any more. I got to the other end and saw I had gained four seconds, but at least I did it I guess. (When I got out either Shelby or the guy who's goggles I had swam with had fixed my goggles, so it all ended up good.)

One thing that I learned was that some people get mad when you eat their food. I got yelled at by some guy for eating the Knight's (one of the other high schools) food. I don't know why he cared at all, because they weren't eating the bagels, so why shouldn't I? Plus they guy who yelled at me was a DAD, so it wasn't even his food to eat either. My friend Shelby covered for me and pretended to eat the bagel, but we knew we weren't fooling anyone. I ended up telling him off a little because it was a bagel, not a huge deal... So then I ate another bagel (well, I ate half a bagel each time, not a whole bagel) later, partially because he yelled at me. I didn't want to get yelled at though, so I asked one of the Knight boys to get it for me so the weird guy (who spent the whole meet sitting right by the bagels for some reason) wouldn't yell at me again.

I sat with a good group of friends at the meet. We sat on inter tubes and talked and it was over all just really fun. I liked this meet even with the events not being as good as I hoped.

That covers most of the meet. I got home at 1:30 and slept till roughly 7-7:30. Then I woke up, ate and pretty much went back to bed. I was surprised this meet tired me out so much. Maybe next week I will finally make a post fully about Shelby, but until then, Amore!

p.s. I actually don't like bagels... So the whole bagel thing is a little weird.

Cedar City Swim Meet

Disclaimer: I have no idea why some of this is highlighted and I can't fix it, so just go with it.

Last week I told you I was going to write about the Cedar City swim meet, so here it is!

Last Friday I went to a swim meet in Cedar City. We left around 7:45 am from the pool were I swim. When we got there we waited for a while, then a cool looking bus pulled up. It was the nice fancy expensive looking kind of bus. It was all chrome looking and big and had a fancy driver.   He looked like a butler and talked like one too, which was cool because most bus drivers remind me of hobos.

On the trip there I sat by my "bed mate" Shelby and my friend Allie. Shelby and I sat directly by each other and Allie sat on the row across the aisle from us. It was a five hour long trip, but it was surprisingly not boring. Shelby and I talked most of the ride, and Allie woke up a few times to talk to us, although I guess the hot guy in front of her was more interesting anyways. Shelby and I talked about school drama for most of a few hours, and then I showed her Julian Smith. She was quoting him, but didn't even know who he was! So just in case you also don't know who he is, here is a video by him:

After we got to the hotel where we were staying we went to Subway for lunch. Then we unpacked and went to the meet. My events were 200 Free, 200 Free Relay, 100 Back, and 400 Free Relay. I learned that I really like relays so far. I was nervous for the 100 back, but I didn't get disqualified, so that is success for me right now. I did my events, but poor Shelby had a 500 Free. She wasn't confident about her swimming, and  almost threw up or started crying a few times. She was nervous all of Friday for it and half of Saturday, but then did amazing on it and will now probably have it again.
There is a lot more to a meet than just the races as you know or can guess. This meet had a ton going on since it was an overnight one. After the first night of the meet, everyone when to Sizzlers. Shelby swims for a different high school than Allie and me, so she usually ends up going with the Lancers. This time however, Allie and I went with her high school, the Knights. I think it confused the waitress though, so Allie and I got our food last. Allie didn't like the food, but Shelby and I did, so we ate all of ours and some of Allie's. We got ice cream after, but it was self serve, so by the time we got to it everyone had already had some, so we ate half frozen ice cream. I did my favorite thing to do, tell someone after I start eating or at the most inconvenient time that I am allergic to ice cream. You should try it, it is really funny every time. But anyways, we ate ice cream and I told her that I was allergic and she freaked out. She got mad and made me stop eating it. Luckily though, I have cousins that live in Cedar City, and one of them was excited I came and brought me cookies, which were 100 times better than the ice cream, so I didn't go without treats. (Okay, I did also have about a pound of skittles in my hoodie too, but not counting that, that's just basic survival.) After dinner, we were going to go to either a movie or haunted house. I voted haunted house, but we ended up going to a movie. We saw The Three Musketeers, and it was really funny, but the whole time Shelby was freaking out about her knife that she brings everywhere. She carries it everywhere I guess, and when she dropped it on the bus she had a mini heart attack. She couldn't stop talking about it, and almost hugged the boy that found it the next day. She doesn't let me touch her knife, because I dropped it on my lap and also another incident on the last bus ride to Logan.
After we got back to the hotel after the movie, it was almost midnight, so we went to bed pretty quickly. When we woke up the next morning, we woke up to screaming for some reason. We went down stairs and ate breakfast, but there weren't enough chairs, so I sat on the ground. Shelby grabbed a banana for me and I grabbed an orange for her (don't ask me why) before we left the hotel. We planned to eat them at the swim meet, so we put them in her bag. She had her bag on a pool chair during the meet, and Allie came over and sat on the chair. Unfortunately she sat right on top of the banana. She said she was too lazy to move, so I tried to eat a smashed banana, again just don't ask.
We had a picnic after the meet ended (about noon) and started off home. On the way home everyone watched Captain America, although I slept though most of it. When I woke up we watched Tangled. Then I was officially the cup holder for one of the coaches. Sadly I felt really special to be able to hold her cup of soda.. Then we went to a truck stop and I bought Skittles, because everyone ate almost ALL my hoodie stash of Skittles!! The whole trip was a blast, and I'll tell you about the Logan meet next time.

Wow, I've posted like everyday this week!

I have been nominated for student of the month in english for October... I personally am happy, but was just a little bit confused, I am not the poet or straight A 100% student or the one who teachers always seem to adore, but I am happy to feel all cool and stellar about it. I guess I made an impression, I thought I had made my lack of knowledge clear with all online things and all, but maybe not. Anyways, it really sounds like I am complaining, I really am happy though, I was just really surprised at first. It actually like kind of made my day today to find that out.

So the good news was the student of the month thing, oh and that I focused REALLY hard during swim today. I really was focused on a set of 2 500's on 8 minutes each, if you don't know what that means, it just means swimming a lot, but I am not sure how long it would usually take me to complete the set normally, but longer than that I assume. Anyways! So I kept track of the set alot better than I usually do, I usually forget and ask someone, but I kept track of everything and passed everyone it seemed like. I was doing pretty well, but I was so focused and some people wouldn't let me pass them and I was only thinking about where I was and breathing, that someone did a flip turn and kicked me in the face.

When he/she kicked me, it shocked me and my goggles came off and I was thrown off my wack I guess. I was suprised and my head hurt, but I really wanted to rest at the end of the set and I was at 350 or 400, so I put my goggles back on and started swimming as fast as I could again. Within the next 25 I passed most of the people who had passed me when I was recovering from the shock for a second, and I was about to pass one more person, but they wouldn't even move over a little or slow down! So I started to just swim around them, which was fine and dandy, but it was close to one of the walls (the same wall I had just been kicked on), so somehow I was kicked again! This kick hurt a LOT more though. my goggles came off again and I had a hard time breathing for a second, so I stopped on the wall to rest for a second so I could breath, but I still really, really, wanted to make the set with extra time, so after gasping for air and assuring the people behind me, who probably though I was crying, that I was okay, I started swimming just as hard.

I got to the other end again and did a flip turn only to realize everyone was getting out, so I stopped and got out too. When I stood up my head felt really light and airey, and I didn't feel like I could walk in a straight line, but I didn't want anyone to freak out, considering the last two days, so I just ignored it. I came home, still with a headache, looked in the mirror, and saw that I had like a green bruise on my eye. I really did look as bad as I felt, and still kind of feel.

So today has been great and painful, but right now I still have a killer headache, so I am going to go to bed early (for me, you all might go to bed at this time usually)
